Thank you for your interest in Hope for Firefighters. This event has grown over the years to be the largest of its type in the nation.

On the day of the event, please be sure that all your team members are at the corner of Fourth and Hope Streets for team instructions at 10:30 sharp. We will discuss the format and scoring for the games as well as safety issues. Teams will be formed up for the Parade down Hope Street led by the LAFD Honor Guard for the Opening Ceremonies and Singing of the National Anthem.

We would appreciate the teams’ assistance in creating a team identity by wearing team uniforms or colors and displaying a banner bearing the team and company name.

The teams will display a banner in opening ceremonies when they march down Hope Street to enter the competition area following the LAFD Color Guard. A 10′ x 2′ banner will be made for your team, however if you would like your company logo to be used on the banner, please return the artwork to us by April 30th.

You will receive a letter from the “Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund” acknowledging your team contribution.

We highly recommend you avoid lines at the event by purchasing your Fire Bucks (lunch tickets) ahead of time. Fire Bucks will go on sale two weeks before the event. Just include the number of tickets you would like on the Sponsorship Form, as well as your check.

Teams are reminded that they are participating in an athletic sporting event that involve strenuous activities including running, lifting and carrying buckets of water and are conducted on the street in front of the building. Games involve the caring of open water buckets that weigh about 15 lbs and participants are likely to get wet during the course of the event, including their shoes. Participants are also likely to encounter other wet and possibly slippery conditions. Participants are encouraged to dress accordingly and to wear appropriate athletic shoes. The games are more about skill and concentration than brute strength. So come to the practice and sharpen those skills and have a great time doing it.

All participants will be required to sign a hold harmless agreement prior to participating in the games. Thank you very much for your participation. We look forward to seeing you.

To ensure your participation in the Muster Team Games, please complete the Sponsorship Form located on the Forms & Rules page and forward a check to the address on the form.
